ST ANDREW'S CHURCH, HECKINGTON

 ROOF REPAIR APPEAL

This roof is now 140 years old and is in need of major repairs.

The south side urgently needs reslating if it is to survive.

English Heritage has offered a grant of £30,000 towards the estimated cost of £90,000.

We have to find the remaining £60,000 over a limited period of time

We are all working hard applying for grants and organising fund raising events, but we desperately need everyone's help to save Heckington's magnificent church building for future generations.

WILL YOU PLEASE HELP TO ENSURE THAT ST ANDREW'S LIVES ON IN THE 21st CENTURY

AS A WITNESS TO CHRISTIANITY AND TO LINCOLNSHIRE'S RICH HERITAGE?

You can Sponsor a Slate (or Slates) or simply make a donation to the Roof Repair Fund

Please go to this appeal link and print off an appeal form

THANK YOU FOR HELPING TO SECURE THE FUTURE OF THIS MAGNIFICENT BUILDING

David Roffe, who is an eminent historian - with a main interest in Domesday - has kindly allowed me to use extracts from his site, which gives early details of various manors, castles and other interesting information from early times.  These are shown on the various villages pages where applicable.  My thanks to him.
