FRANK J. CUMMINGS, better known
as "Pard," is a leading merchant at Riverside, Okanogan county. He
was born on December 13, 1852, in Aristook county, Maine, where he passed
his boyhood days. When still a lad he left home and began life in
the west. He crossed the plains with ox teams to California, then
went to Montana in 1873, after which he traveled to various sections of
the west and northwest. He followed the stage business in Montana
for five years, then came to Yakima in the same line of business.
In 1896 he first located in Okanogan county and the following year brought
his family here. He is now conducting a business establishment near
Riverside, at a place called Alma, and is one of the substantial and leading
citizens of the community.
