Melody Jean Dingman and Randall Loyd Barrett of Paris were united in marriage on Saturday, August 14, 1999 in an informal double-ring ceremony at the Family Worship Center in Paris. The Reverend Terry Rogers performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Wayne Dingman, Sr. of Paris and Jean Wood Dingman, also of Paris, Texas. She is the granddaughter of the late John Henry and Sally Louise Dingman of Paris, the late Ernest Marion Wood, and the late Ruby Bartlett Wood Ross of Cooper and Paris.

The groom is the son of Wayne and Sue Barrett of Simms and of Lucille and Robert Teel of Longview. He is the grandson of Helen Barrett of Simms, the late Lee Barrett, Mary Proctor, of DeKalb, and the late Mr. Proctor.

The bride was escorted to the altar by her father, Wayne Dingman, Sr., and given in marriage by her family. She was beautiful in a white satin Mori Lee gown. The gown was fashioned with a princess style bodice and long skirt. The train extended to chapel-length. The shoulders featured a tucked band which matched the tucked band at the hemline. The bride carried a cascade bouquet of plum and lilac flowers.

Attending the bride as matron of honor was her long-time friend, Christine Aldridge of Mesquite. She wore a tea-length plum satin gown and carried a plum and lilac bouquet. Flower girl was Morgan Barrett, daughter of the groom, who wore a white floral dress and dropped silk petals from a small decorated basket.

The groom was attired in a white tucked western shirt with a black collar and black wrangler jeans. Best man was Gaylon Tucker, best friend of the groom, of Powderly, who was attired in a white tucked western shirt and black wrangler jeans. Their boutonnieres were plum roses.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the fellowship hall of the church. The couple will reside in Paris.

Randall and Melody would like to thank their families and friends for helping make their special day a moment to be forever in their memories. They appreciate everything you have helped them with. They are most grateful for your friendship and love. To all of their families and friends, this moment in time could not have been possible without your continued support, love, guidance and prayers. We thank you, and cherish and adore you.
