Know all men by these presents that I RACHEL GRUBB of Greene County and state of Tennessee in consideration of the sum of One hundred dollars lawful money paid to me by WILLIAM HENDRY of the county and state aforesaid the receipt whereof I Rachel Grubb do hereby acknowledge do hereby give grant bargain and sell and convey unto said William Hendry his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land situate a (sic) follows, to wit beginning at a white oak JAMES (ALSUPS) line thence on said line north seventy (sic) degrees east one hundred and forty poles to a red oak in HENRY LONGS line then said line east thrith seven poles to a buckeye on Reedy Branch thence thirty eight poles to a white oak thence a straight line to the begining containing forty five acres to have and to hold the said granted and bargained premises with the priviledges and appurtenences thereof to him the said William Hendry his heirs and assigns forever to his and their use benefit and behoof (sic) forever and I the said Rachel Grubb for myself my heirs exectutors and administrators do covenant with the said William Hendry his heirs and assigns that I am lawfully seized in fee of the premises hereby granted and that they are free of all incumberances (sic) whatsoever that I have good right to sell and convey the same to the said William Hendry that as aforesaid and that I will warrant and defend the same to the said William Hendry his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claims and demand of all persons whatsoever in testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this (rubbed out) day of August one thousand eight hundred and six [1806]
