Mabry Allan Hagin

Born September 19, 1914, passed away peacefully January 24, 2008. He was predeceased by his first wife, Effie Hagin; and son, James Kickliter. He is survived by his wife, Nan Hagin; sons, Jack and Lloyd Kickliter, and Edward, Jimmy and Terry Pitts; daughters, Elizabeth Becker, Alberta Killebrew, Mary Lou Kress and Kathy Snyder; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Arrie Spencer, Vondell Peterson and Betty Anglado. There will be a visitation at 2-4 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2008, at Lewers Funeral Home Chapel. A service will follow at 11 a.m., Monday, January 28, 2008, at Lewers Funeral Home. Lawrence A. "Bob" Buzbee Sr.

75, of Ruskin, died Saturday (Sept. 20, 2003) at James A. Haley VA Medical Center. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a tugboat captain for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He was a member of the American Ex POWs Greater Tampa Bay Chapel. Survivors include his wife, Jewel; two sons, Larry Riley and Lawrence "Bubba" Buzbee Jr.; three daughters, Celeste Buzbee, Cathy Wilson and Annette Amerson; three brothers, Lamar Buzbee, Ralph Buzbee and Alfred "Buddy" Buzbee; a sister, Joyce Crenshaw; and six grandchildren. James Guy Buzbee II

80, pioneer and lifelong resident of Gibsonton, Fla., passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2006 to reunite with his wife, Willa Mae Buzbee and brother, Winston Buzbee. Born August 18, 1926, Guy was an avid hunter and fisherman, started the family fish farm, Buzbee Tropical Fish Farm, in 1965, worked at the U.S. Phosphoric Plant in Gibsonton for 27 years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and family man. He is survived by a brother, Oliver Perry Buzbee; a son, James Guy Buzbee III; a daughter, Olivia Gayle Ferdinandsen and (Dan); a nephew, James H. Buzbee and (Barbie) and five grandsons, Shawn David Buzbee, James Guy Buzbee IV and (Stephanie), Christopher Wayne Buzbee, Ryan Ellsworth Ferdinandsen, and (Monica) and Robert James Ferdinandsen. Eugene Alton McRoberts

85, of Ruskin, died Monday (Nov. 13, 2006) at home. He was born in Gulf City and was a lifelong resident of this area. He was a commercial fisherman, seafood entrepreneur and founder, chairman and chief executive officer of McRoberts Sales in Ruskin. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps in California for three years before serving in the Army in the Philippines during World War II. He was past president, Man of the Year and received an honorary lifetime award from the Ruskin Chamber of Commerce. He was past president of the Ruskin Merchants Association, was a groundbreaker for the Ruskin Library and past honorary mayor of Ruskin. He served on the lay advisory board for the hospital and welfare board of Hillsborough County. He was a member, deacon and past Sunday school teacher at Northside Baptist Church in Ruskin. He was also an executive club member of "Friends of Children" for the Florida Baptist Childrens' Homes. He was a member of the Florida Board of Conservation Marine Laboratory. He was past president of the Southeastern Fisheries Association and was the recipient of their "Gene Raffield Humanitarian Award." He was past president of the National Fisheries Institute. Survivors include four daughters, Shirley Wallace, Lois McRoberts, Dottie Pinegar and Sandra Fail; a son, Dick Crosby; a sister, Doris Buzbee; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was a retired foreman from the Harlee Packing House and was a member of Southside Baptist Church. He was a member of DeSoto Lodge No. 105, F&AM and DeSoto Chapter No. 201, Order of Eastern Star. He was a 32nd-degree Mason and was a member of the Tampa Scottish Rite. Velma Roy Buzbee

WAUKEENAH - Velma Roy Buzbee, 74, died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2006, in Managua, Nicaragua. The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. EDT Saturday at Waukeenah United Methodist Church. Dr. Reginald Wayne Pitts

PITTS, Dr. Reginald Wayne, 69, passed away peacefully at home October 21, 2005. He was preceded in death by his parents, John R. and Retha Pitts; brothers, Charles Pitts, Dr. Haman Pitts and John R. Pitts; and grand- daughter, Kelly Mitchell. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Connie Pitts; children, Steven Lee Pitts, Lee Ann Mitchell, Laurie Kelley Knight, Mark Allen Pitts and Jacqueline Susann Kennedy; and 10 grandchildren. Dr. Pitts attended Wimauma High School, Florida State University and National College of Chiropractic. He started practicing in 1959, established Pitts Chiropractic Clinic in 1966, and continued to care for the injured and sick in the Tampa Bay area for 43 years. Dr. Pitts served four times as president of the Hillsborough County Chiropractic Society and was one of the few to serve as president of the Florida Chiropractic Association for two terms. He was an active member of Bell Shoals Baptist Church. A special thanks is extended to Dr. Felix Jimenez, oral surgeon, and Dr. Calvin Douglas, for their extensive dedication, support and compassion. A Sad Death

A very sad death was that of Miss Ella, the 17 year old daughter of J. M. Buzbee, whose remains were this morning carried from their present home on Nebraska Avenue to their former home at Riverview for Interment. Only ten months ago she was a beautiful and lovable young lady, in the bloom of health, when she was suddenly stricken with consumption, which so rapidly preyed upon her system that she was cut off in the dawn of young womanhood. the funeral arrangements were in charge of the Tucker Undertaking establishment.

Jacqueline Michele Buzbee, five-year-old daughter of Nebraska and Opal Buzbee Jr., of Sun City, died in a Bradenton hospital Sunday. Surviving, besides the parents, are a grandfather, Nebraska Buzbee; a brother, Ronald C. Buzbee, and two sisters, Carol Elaine and Vicki Lynn Buzbee, all of Sun City. Cora Sue Boggs Heilman, 65, of Dover, Fla., formerly of Argillite, Ky., entered eternal rest on Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, in Dover. Mrs. Heilman was born April 2, 1938, in Argillite, a daughter of the late Theodore Oliver and Anna Belle Elliott Poplin. She was a floral designer with Publix, was a member of United Church of Christ in Medina, Ohio, and was a member of Valrico Moose Lodge. Surviving are two daughters, Anna Hall of Dover and Linda McCormick of Tampa, Fla.; three sons, Thomas Boggs of Gibsonton, Fla., Tyson Heilman of Tampa, and Willie Boggs of Lodi, Ohio; two sisters, Mona Self and Mary Smith, both of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, Roy Poplin of Dover and Everett Hassell Poplin of Greenup, Ky.; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003, at the Evans Funeral Home in Raceland, Ky. Burial will be in Pratt Cemetery in Argillite. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

LILLIAN BUZBEE WIECZOREK.

Wieczorek, Lillian Buzbee, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2014. She was retired from The Environmental Protection Commission of Hillsborough County. Lil was a former Miss Beta Sigma Phi of Florida and Queen of the Ruskin Tomato Festival. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Alfred, parents Corbet and Annie Buzbee, brothers, Charlie, Lawrence and Cecil, sister Anniebell. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Lowe (Chuck); son, Kenneth Wieczorek (Sheila); 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Nan Hagin; and many, many nieces and nephews. Her family meant everything to her. Visitation will be at Serenity Meadows Home on Sunday, July 27, 2014 from 2-4 pm. There will be a funeral Mass at St. Stephen Catholic Church on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 11 am. Burial will be at Fellowship Cemetery.

Salmon, Isabelle Buzbee, 97, of Thonotosassa, died Thursday (Oct. 22, 1992) at Humana Hospital-Brandon. She was born in Ruskin. She was a homemaker. Survivors include two sons, James Hatfield, Sun City, and Alvie Hatfield, Bradenton; four daughters, Marie Fagen, Orlando; Thelma White, Sun City; Sybil Rankin, Gibsonton, and Mae Hardwick, Lakeland; 30 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and a great-great-great-grandchild. BUZBEE, Della Mae, 97, of Ruskin, Fla., passed away September 11, 2011. She retired as manager for Ruskin Rexall and was a member of the Ruskin Veterans of Foreign Wars Women's Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy; her son, Hooty; and two daughters, Patty and Jean. Survivors include her daughter, Dorothy (Bob) Updegrove; two brothers, George (Marge) Middlebrook and Lloyd (Maryann) Middlebrook; her daughter-in-law, Jane Buzbee; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 25 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. EUGENE ALTON McROBERTS

McRoberts, Eugene Alton, 85, of Ruskin, died Monday (Nov. 13, 2006) at home. He was born in Gulf City and was a lifelong resident of this area. He was a commercial fisherman, seafood entrepreneur and founder, chairman and chief executive officer of McRoberts Sales in Ruskin. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps in California for three years prior to serving in the Army in the Philippines during World War II. He was past president, Man of the Year and received an honorary lifetime award from the Ruskin Chamber of Commerce. He was past president of the Ruskin Merchants Association, was a ground breaker for the Ruskin Library and was also past honorary mayor of Ruskin. He served on the lay advisory board for the hospital and welfare board of Hillsborough County. He was a member, deacon and past Sunday school teacher at Northside Baptist Church in Ruskin. He was also an executive club member of "Friends of Children" for the Florida Baptist Childrens? Homes. He was a member of the Florida Board of Conservation Marine Laboratory. He was past president of the Southeastern Fisheries Association and was the recipient of their "Gene Raffield Humanitarian Award." He was past president of the National Fisheries Institute. Survivors include four daughters, Shirley Wallace, Lois McRoberts, Dottie Pinegar and Sandra Fail; a son, Dick Crosby; a sister, Doris Buzbee; a sister, Lucille; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. ETHEL WELLS, 90, of Yankeetown.

Ethel B. Wells, 90, of Yankeetown died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, at Ocala Regional Medical Center in Ocala. She was born in Inglis and was a lifelong resident of Yankeetown. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her son, Chandler L. Wells Jr. of Yankeetown; two daughters, Jonnie M. Watts of Blausville, Ga., and Mary J. Butler of Germantown, Tenn.; one brother, Lawrence Buzbee of Inglis; one sister, Betty Feco of Jacksonville; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Buzbee, William C. "Hooty" 71, of Ruskin, passed away Aug. 30, 2011. He was preceded in death by his father, William H. "Buddy" Buzbee. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Jane; two sons, Mark (Marcile) Buzbee and Scott (Laurette) Buzbee; a daughter, Wendy Buzbee and her fiancé, Russell Sexton; his mother, Della Buzbee; his sister, Dot (Bob) Updegrove; and 9 grandchildren, Shelby, Wyatt, Talon, twins, Skylar and Levi, Mordendy and Mayley Buzbee and Cody and Dylan Smith. Charlie Corbett Buzbee Sr., 84, of Ruskin died Friday at home under the care of LifePath Hospice. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a farmer and member of First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Doris F.; three sons, Charlie C. Jr., William C. and Donald R., all of Ruskin; three daughters, Ann Fuller of Brandon, and Jane Bigica and Kay Martin, both of Ruskin; a brother, Lawrence of Ruskin; two sisters, Nan Hagin of Inglis and Lillian Wieczorek of Ruskin; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
