This is a transcribed alphabetical list of the names found in the Salem Sabbath Role book. As always with old handwritten documents, the penmanship was difficult to read. I have copied the names as I found them. The role of names was written out every few Sundays, therefore most of the names were repeated each time. Because of this, William Hill one Sunday might be Will Hill a few Sundays later, or maybe not. Luela Hill might be Lula Hill, and maybe not. Many people were named after their father, grandfather, uncle and so on, so there may have been three Benjamin Hills at the same time, hence the need for Binny, and Benjamin at the same time. In other cases, there were different secretaries, and they spelled the names differently. For this reason I would not consider attempting a count of names, and I have included every variation I found, even if it may have led to repetition.

Keep in mind that this is the Sunday School Role, not THE Role of the church. There were many others that attended Sunday Morning Worship, that didn't attend Sunday School. Their Sunday School, as reported in this role book, was held on Sunday afternoon, after everyone had gone home for Sunday Dinner. Many simply didn't return for the second service. As of this date, no other role has been found.
