Absolom and Elizabeth Hinshaw
of Randolph County and State of North Carolina
and
Mary Davis
Daughter of
Charles and Hannah Davis
of the County & State afforesaid,
Haveing declared
their intentions of Marriage with Each other at a monthly
of friends held at Cane meeting house in
Orange County & state afforesaid
and after due Enquiry nothing appeareing to hinder
were alowed by said meeting to proceed. - - -
Now these are to Certify whome it may Concern that for the full
accomplishment of their said Intention this
foreteenth day of the Eleventh month in the year of our Lord
one thousand Eight hundred and sixteen they the sd
Jacob Hinshaw

Mary Davis
appeared at a public meeting of friends at Holle Spring meeting House
in Randolph County,
and they the sd
Jacob Hinshaw

Mary Davis
did in a public maner openly declare that
they took Each other for husband and wife,
and as a further Confirmation thereof, they the sd

Mary Davis
did to these presents set their hands,
she according to the Custom of marriage assuming the Name of her husband
