This is where I get to talk about my memories and the stories that were told to me about my parents and my sister. Also about our own families as they were growing up. In addition, I will include stories of my contemporary cousins some of whom I discovered as a direct result of these web pages. In fact, my mother's cousin, Jackie had a birthday a few years ago and I took the opportunity to build a web page to wish her well, I also celebrated my mother's cousin Edith's 101 birthday this way as well and another cousin as well. With the limitations on freepages to genealogy related sites alone, I'm not sure of the status of these pages so I have passed them over to my new domain Holly's Closet , just for safety's sake.
In 2001, Joe and I went cemetery hopping and visited our parent's graves in New York State, went to Grafton and visited the Phelps graves, discovered another family the Davis's and met and visited with my newly discovered cousin, Anna. Also included in this slideshow are other things that happened during that year.
This is putting the cart before the horse, but the story I have immediately available is my daughter, Robyn's wedding in April 2002. These pages primarily deal with pictures of our involvement in this wonderful event. Please enjoy our happiness.
The story of my mother's cousin, Edith, was fascinating to me. The two were friends from childhood and wrote to each other every week until my mother's illness and eventual death. A couple of years ago I started to put together a story about my mother. Unlike Edith, she is no longer around to talk with and question so this is based on my own recollection of what I had heard over the years. I'm afraid it is pretty sketchy but at least I've made a start. Hopefully I will find time to continue soon.
