{Evansville, Indiana} ---- Mary Maxine Burnett, 89, of Evansville,
died Monday, Sept. 4, 2000, at the Evansville Protestant Home. She had
worked for Deter’s Jewelers. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist
Church and the Women’s Society and a member of the Eastern Star in Washington,
Ind. She was a volunteer with the American Red Cross. Surviving are her
husband of 71 years, Herbert; a daughter, Shirley Ann Naylor of Evansville;
two grandchildren, Nancy and Dale Naylor; and nieces and nephews. Services
will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, the
Rev. George A. Purnell officiating, with entombment in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions
may be made to the church or the Evansville Protestant Home.
