Pharoah Dunn-Ky 1852
Whereas Pharoah Dunn Sen'r of the County of Marshall and Commonwealth
of Kentucky is the owner of two certain pieces or parcels of land lying
and being situated in said County on the waters of Bear Creek and known
and designated; one as the North East quarter of Section Thirty, Township
five, Range five East;the other as the North half of the South East quarter
of said section, both together containing two hundred and forty acres more
or less, which he intended donating to and dividing equally between his
eight children their heirs or assigns viz; Martha Gregory, now Dec'd, late
wife of Peter Gregory; Elizabeth Johnson now Dec'd late wife of Newton
Johnson; Mary Harp late Dunn now widow and relict of Wiley Harp Dec'd;
Lucinda Burnham , late Dunn, wife of Lewis Burnham; Eliza Tubbs late Dunn
wife of John Tubbs; Benjamin Dunn; Pharoah Dunn Jun'r & Celia Burnham,
late Dunn, wife of James Burnham - and whereas said Pharoah Dunn Jun'r
having purchased for a valuable consideration paid, the interest of said
Martha Gregory, Lucinda Burnham, Eliza Tubbs, Benjamin Dunn and Celia Burnham
in and to the said land and appurtenances so intended to be conveyed and
donated,and agreeing to purchase of ***** for the interests
of said Elizabeth Johnson and Mary Harp. This indenture therefore, made
and entered into the 31 day of March A.D. 1852, by and between said Pharoah
Dunn Sen'r of one part and said Pharoah Dunn Jun'r of the other - Witnesseth:
That said Pharoah Dunn Sen'r for and in consideration of the premises above
stated, and the further consideration of the love and natural affection
which he has for and bears toward his said son Pharoah Dunn Jr. hath given,
granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents doth alien, en *****
, convey and confirm unto said Pharoah Dunn Jun'r said two hundred and
forty acres of land more or less. To have and hold the land hereby conveyed
with all and singular the appurtenances thereto belonging or in any wise
pertaining, unto said Pharoah Dunn Jun'r his heirs or assigns forever:
and said Pharoah Dunn Sen'r for himself , his heirs, executors and administrators
the aforesaid land and appurtenances, unto said Pharoah Dunn Jun'r his
heirs or assigns, free from the claim or claims of all and every person
or persons whomsoever, doth and will forever warrant & defend by these
presents. In witness whereof said Pharoah Dunn Sen'r hereto sets his hand
and affixes his seal the day and year aforesaid.
