Becky - I am up against a wall trying to find the father of Washington Hogg (born
1842, married 3/19/1864 To Meranda Mount, in Indiana???) I believe his
father may be James Hogg born about 1812 in Virginia who married Avilla from
NY. Rumor has it that his father was an immigrant from Ireland named Remy/
Raney Hogg. Suggestions??

Ken Briggs - I am researching my wife Gloria's ancestry. Gloria is the daughter of John McCoy and Frieda Kathryn Hogg b. July 4,1918 in Kokomo, Howard Co., IN.

Frieda is the daughter of Delmar Hogg b. June 18, 1880 near Crothersville, Jackson Co., IN, d. March 1966 in Peru, Miami Co., IN. He married Iris Hazel Crousore on August 11, 1917 and they had 5 children; Frieda Kathryn, an infant son who died at birth b. December 26, 1919, Henry Nelson b. October 22, 1920 in Kokomo, Eva Gertrude b. May 28, 1922 in Kokomo, and Alva Irvin b. May 1, 1925 d. five months later in Kokomo.

We do know that Delmar was the brother of David Hogg b. August 21, 1885 near Crothersville and died October 23, 1973. David was a Representative from Indiana to the House of Representatives in Washington, D. C.

Since my last posting concerning my wife's family (we were looking for the parents of Delmar b. June 18, 1880 and David b. August 21, 1885) we have found Delmar and David's parents. They were Nelson T. Hogg and Nancy E. Waters. Any info that anyone can share concerning their DOB, DOD, marriage or other children will be greatly appreciated. Delmar and David were born in Jackson Co., IN
