Melissa Staff Gargani  - around Slippery Rock, PA, US

Kristy Miller - My gggg grandfathers name was Robert Hogge. He was a resident of Washington County, PA and married to Phebe Hamell. They had nine children: Mark, Matthew, Andrew, James, William, Robert, Jane, Polly, and Pheobe. They moved to Harrison County, Ohio around 1815 and purchased a land patent in 1819 in Washington Township, Harrison County, OH.
I have been unable to find Robert Hogge Sr.'s parentage. I do know that they were prominent members of the Scotch Irish Presbyterian Church in Peters Township, Washington County, PA before moving to Ohio. I am hoping that someone can help me find the Presbyterian records for this family

Charles S. Barton - Do you have any information on Daniel Hogg who arrived in this country around 1923? His wife Elizabeth Martha Steel Hogg and 10 of her 12 children arrived on December 13, 1924. Their two oldest Mary Jane (Mae) and Daniel, Jr. arrived sometime in the spring/summer of 1924. They settled in Southwestern Pennsylvania. While I have detailed information on the Hoggs from my grandfather/grandmother and their descendants, I do not have much on their parents or grand parents other than their names. The Hoggs emigrated from Balnamore, County Antrim, Ireland. To my knowledge both of my grandparents were born in Ireland. I am new at his and kind of hit a wall as far as tracing my ancestors. Any suggestions would be very appreciated.

Married to Moses Rush Chapman. I have a record of of the Hogg Family copied from the Butler County Court House in Butler, PA. in 1990. I believe this record was done by Audine Barnes, she wrote a letter to my great aunt, Lucy Adams, a sister to my grandfather, Raleigh Adams. It was written in 1925 and my mother ended up with it and upon her death started me on my way to find out about that branch of my tree. Please contact me at: [email protected].
