I have family in Orange, Beaumont, Port Arthur and surrounding areas. I have several Hogg family members buried in cemetaries around Orange---My Grandfather, Grandmother, Aunts buried in Jett Cemetary. A half brother buried in Dorman Cemetary, etc. My Grandfather, John Elliott Hogg, founded the Salvation Army in Orange, Texas. Christy Brown- Is anyone working on the line of Thomas Blair Hogg, son of John Hogg Sr. and Sarah Margaret Elizabeth Horsey? Trying to find out when Thomas moved to Texas from Mississippi. I have a deed of gift from 1848, but my question is was he here prior to Texas becoming a state in 1846?
