Hi, My name is Julie Blackwood Stewart. I am related to the Hollis�s of Oregon County, MO. I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate all of the work you have put into the Hollis website. I have spent days pouring over the information! I believe I may have something to add, if you feel it is relevant. Below you will find a brief family history starting with John Hollis (1737-1832). John Hollis (1737-1832) William Sr. Hollis (1769-1846) Robert Jessie Sr. Hollis (1797-1878) John A. Hollis (1825-1870) John Ranson Hollis (1852-1918) Parthena Josephine Hollis (1873-1925) Bertha Mable Thompson Jones Judy Jonell Blackwood Julie Blackwood Stewart (me) My grandmother, Bertha, saved a newspaper clipping of a family gathering. She had noted that this was �Julie Blackwood�s great great grandmother�. She also noted on the photo that it was �Bertha�s grandmother� . Lucy Simpson married James Ranson Hollis. The photo also includes Lucy and John Ranson Hollis�s son Lewis Hollis with his wife Liza. Standing next to Lucy Hollis is her grandson Marvin Hollis. The second photo I have is of Parthena Josephine Hollis with her husband Thomas Jefferson Thompson. She was John Ranson Hollis and Lucinda �Lucy� Simpson�s daughter. (I received this photo from Dewey Thompson) The third photo I have is of Parthena Josephine Hollis with her husband Thomas Jefferson Thompson, their children and son-in-laws. (I received this photo from Dewey Thompson) Again, thank you for all of your work on the Hollis site.
