Henry Howard Duncan
Henry Howard Duncan, was born February 9, 1883 in Nicholas County, Kentucky, the son of Joseph Wilson and Sarah Frances Johnson Duncan, and died February 19, 1957 in Midway, Woodford County, Kentucky. He married Lutie Ockerman October 23, 1912 in Nicholas County, Kentucky, daughter of Joseph Ockerman and Bettie Campbell. She was born July 20, 1893 in Nicholas County, Kentucky, and died May 27, 1982 in Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky. They are buried in Carlisle Cemetery, Carlisle, Nicholas County, Kentucky. They were the parents of the following children:

Hazel Mae Duncan, born January 2, 1915 in Nicholas County, Kentucky, died
July 20, 2004 in Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky. She married John Alvin
McGaughey and they were the parents of four children. Their son, John Alvin
McGaughey Jr., born February 11, 1939 in Anderson County, Kentucky, died
July 31, 2003 in Anderson County, Kentucky. He was survived by his wife and
two children. Burial was in Hebron Cemetery, Anderson County,
Kentucky.

Hallie Bell Duncan, born June 24, 1917, died January 15, 2001. She married
Estill Crocker, also deceased.

Arnold.

Viola Duncan married James Edward Flora, born 1920, the son of Santford
and Carrie Bell Alcorn Flora. He died August 7, 1998 in Frankfort, Kentucky
and is buried in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Woodford County,
Ky.

Henry Howard Duncan Jr., born November 24, 1925 in Woodford County, Kentucky,
died December 2, 2002 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was buried in Covington

late James W. and Ella C. Spencer. He died March 14, 1995 in Woodford County,

Henry H. Duncan, 74,
a retired farmer, passed away February 19, 1957 in Woodford Memorial Hospital
in Versailles, Kentucky. A native of Nicholas County, he was a member of
the Midway Methodist Church and was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the
Knights of Phythias. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lutie Ockerman Duncan;
five daughters, Mrs. John A. McGaughey of Lawrenceburg, Mrs. Estill Crocker
of Lynchburg, Tennessee, Mrs. James E. Flora of Frankfort, Mrs. Charles Spencer
of Midway, and Mrs. Bettye Hall of Lexington; four sons, Joseph W. and Emmett
Duncan of Lexington, Leslie K. Duncan of Midway, and Henry Duncan Jr. of
Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Funeral services will be conducted in Miller-Blackburn
Funeral Home, Versailles, Kentucky, Thursday at 10 a.m. by the Rev. Virgil
Fryman, pastor of the Midway Methodist Church. Burial will be in Carlisle
Cemetery, Carlisle, Nicholas County, Kentucky.

Mrs. Lutie Ockerman
Duncan, 88, of Gratz Street, Midway, Kentucky, widow of Henry H. Duncan,
died May 27, 1982, after a long illness. She was the oldest living member
of the Midway Methodist Church. Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. John A.
(Hazel) McGaughey Sr. of Lawrenceburg, Mrs. Estill (Hallie) Crocker of Tennessee,
Mrs. James (Viola) Flora of Frankfort, Mrs. Charles (Lida) Spencer of Midway,
and Mrs. Billy (Bettye) Hall of Lexington; four sons, Leslie K. Duncan of
Midway, Joe W. Duncan and Emmett Duncan, both of Lexington, and Howard Duncan
of Indiana; two sisters, Mrs. John E. Harmon and Mrs. Maude Worth, both of
Lexington; 35 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 8
great-great-grandchildren. Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at
the Duell-Clark Funeral Chapel, Versailles, Kentucky, by Rev. Mitchell Thomas.
Burial will be in Carlisle Cemetery, Carlisle, Nicholas County,
Kentucky.

Services for James E.
Flora, 75, of Frankfort, will be 11 A.M. Monday, August 10, 1998, at Duell-Clark
Funeral Chapel in Versailles. He died at his residence Friday, August 7,
1998. A native of Woodford County, he was a retired employee of the Schenley
Distillery in Frankfort with forty-two years of service. He was a World War
II Army veteran and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Frankfort.
Survivors include his wife, Viola Duncan Flora; three daughters, Yvonne Bailey
of Frankfort, Janice Hubbard of Virginia, and Joyce Rader of Paris; two sisters,
Anna Mae Nowlin and Geraldine Thompson, both of Lawrenceburg; nine grandchildren
and eleven great-grandchildren. He was the son of the late Santford and Carrie
Bell Alcorn Flora. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Woodford County,
Kentucky.

Henry
Howard "Bull Dog" Duncan Jr., 77, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, husband of Hazel
I Duncan, died Wednesday, December 4, 2002 at his home. A native of Midway,
Kentucky, he retired in 1991 from Rose Exterminators as a technician. He
was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. In addition to his wife, he is
survived by five daughters, Karen Duncan of Indianapolis, Indiana, Dawn Kaiser,
Donna martin and Gwen Velijovic, all of Fort Wayne, and Brenda Bowser of
Auburn, Indiana; two sons, Dale Duncan of Euless, Texas and Ronald Duncan
of Batavia, Illinois; four sisters, Hazel McGaughey of Lawrenceburg, Viola
Flora of Frankfort, Lida Spencer of Midway, and Betty Hall of Lexington;
three brothers, Leslie Duncan of Midway, and Joseph and Emmett Duncan,
both of Lexington; and nine grandchildren. A sister is deceased. Services
were conducted December at Hockenmeyer & Miller Funeral Home. Burial
was in Covington Memorial

Services
for Hazel Mae Duncan McGaughey, 89, of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky will be Friday
at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. She died Tuesday at Central Baptist
Hospital in Lexington. Burial will be in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Born
January 2, 1915 in Carlisle, Kentucky, she was a 1933 graduate of Kavanaugh
High School, a homemaker, farmer and loved fishing. She was a member of the
Sand Spring Baptist Church, the TEL Sunday School Class and worked in the
nursery for many years. Survivors include her husband, John Alvin McGaughey
Sr.; two daughters, Elaine M. Corn and Wilma L. Flygstad, both of Lawrenceburg;
a son, Leslie Joe McGaughey of lawrenceburg; three sisters, Viola Flora,
Frankfort, Betty Hall, Lexington, and Lida Spencer of Midway; three brothers,
Joe Duncan and Emmett Duncan, both of Lexington, leslie Duncan, Midway; seventeen
grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren;
nine step-great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and three
step-great-great-grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late Lutie Ockerman
and Henry Duncan. She was preceded in death by a son, John Alvin McGaughey
Jr.; a sister, Hallie Crocker; and two brothers, Howard and harris Duncan.
