Mrs. Cuba Haynes

  Mrs. Cuba Haynes of the Pinson Community died Monday at 5:30 in the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital where she had been a patient since October 21st.  She was 90 years of age.

  Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday from the Chapel of Smith Funeral Home with Dr. Robert M. Shelton, pastor of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, officiating.  Burial will be in Big Springs Cemetery.

  A life-long resident of Madison County, Mrs. Haynes was the daughter of the late John and Mattie Elizabeth Rowsey Hodges.  She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

  Her husband, John A. Haynes, a farmer and operator of a grocery store, preceded her in death in 1941.

  Those who survive are two sons Everett Haynes of Pinson and Lee A. Haynes of Littlefield, Texas; a daughter, Miss Lela Mae Haynes of Pinson, two grandaughters  Mrs. Sue Mouser of Lubbock, Texas and Mrs. Dot Simmons of Littlefield, Texas, a great grandson Ronnie Mouser of Lubbock, Texas, a sister Mrs. Lura Moore of Jackson.

  The body will be at the funeral home until the funeral hour.

  Pallbearers to serve will be John H. Hodges, Leonard Robbins, Elton Moore, Wynn Sparks, Bill Sparks and Jeter Green.

Hand dated Oct. 28, 1968.
