John R. Hughes - buried
Wed. Dec. 1, 1965 Scotts Hill, Tenn. __Services for John R. Hughes, 79, were
held at 2 p.m. at Scotts Hill Church of Christ.
Burial was in Methodist Cemetery with
Scotts Hill Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Hughes died Monday afternoon at Lexington General
Hospital. He was a lifelong
resident of Scotts Hill. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Lima Hughes of Scots Hill;
three daughters, Mrs. Josephine Austin of Sardis, Mrs. Jimmie Austin of
Lexington and Mrs. Polly Scnell of Seattle Wash.; a son, Fred Hughes of Scotts
Hill; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; a brother Norman Hughes and
three sisters, Mrs. Ola Alexander, Miss Maggie Hughes and Mrs. Allie Tarlton
all of Scotts Hill.
