Wallace Allen

     Services for Wallace Allen, 64, will be held Friday at 2 PM from the Main Street Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with Rev. Jimmy Scott officiating.  Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.

     Mr. Allen, a former shipping clerk for Central Woodwork Company, died Wednesday morning at Ridgewood Health Care Center in Milan, after an 11 year illness.  A native of Hardin County, he was the son of the late Ira Franklin and Ruth Lane Allen and had been a Jackson resident since 1955.  He was a former deacon, Sunday school teacher and Training Union Director at East Jackson Baptist Church, before his illness.

     Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Mrs. Frances Strawn Allen, a son, Steve Allen of Jackson, a sister, Mrs. Gladys Rayborn of Savannah, a brother, Royce Allen of Memphis and two grandsons, Kevin and Darrin Allen, both of Jackson.

     The family will receive friends at the Main Street Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons Thursday after 2:30 PM.
