EDWARDS, Grace Evelyn – 69, Churchville, Pictou County, formerly of Dartmouth, died July 9, 1992, in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.  Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Matthias and Maud (Sykes) Ivany.  She is survived by her husband, Reginald; four daughters, Mrs. Doris Ritchie, Dipper Harbour, N.B.; Marion (Mrs. Wylie Hall), Lyn (Mrs. Harold Hudson), Nancy (Mrs. Peter Nicholson), all of Dartmouth; three sons, Richard, Gregory, David, all of Dartmouth; two sisters, Frances (Mrs. Donald MacBeth), Mildred (Mrs. Donald Morrisey), both of Dartmouth; two brothers, William, Elmsdale; Victor, Dartmouth; 16 grandchildren; eight great-granddaughters.  She was predeceased by a son, Reginald; sister, Agnes; brother Robert.  The body is in A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, Dartmouth, visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.  Funeral will be 12:30 p.m. Monday in Emmanuel Anglican Church, Windmill Road, Rev. IVANY, Matthias – The death occurred at Camp hill Hospital on Sunday of Matthias Ivany.  He was 74.  Born at Otter’s Cove, Trinity Bay, NFLD he lived in Dartmouth for the last 30 years.  A carpenter by trade, he served in the Merchant Navy during the First World War.  He was a leader in the amalgamation of the suburbs of the City of Dartmouth.  He was also one of the first wardens of Holy Trinity Church, Tuft’s Cove, and a member of the church vestry.  Surviving are his wife, the former Maude Sykes, formerly of England. 3 daughters: Evelyn (Mrs. R. Edwards) Francis (Mrs. Don MacBeth) and Mildred (Mrs. D. Morrisey) all of Dartmouth; 3 sons: William, Robert and Victor, Dartmouth; a sister Annie (Mrs. George Leader) Halifax; a brother William, Toronto and 23 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren.  The body is resting at Matatall’s Funeral Home, Dartmouth and the funeral will be held at 11 am on Tuesday at Holy Trinity Church, Dartmouth.  Rev. IVANY, Mrs. Mathias – 76, of 43 Albro Lake Road, Dartmouth died Monday in Hillcrest Manor, Truro.  Born in Yorkshire, England the former Charlotte Maude Sykes, she was a daughter of the late William and Onis (Wood) Sykes.  Her husband predeceased her.  She is survived by three daughters; Evelyn (Mrs. Reg Edwards) Frances (Mrs. Don MacBeth) and Mildred (Mrs. Don Morrisey) all of Dartmouth.  Two sons, William and Victor, both of Dartmouth, 24 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  The body is at Mattatall’s Funeral Home, Dartmouth.  Funeral service will be at 11 am in Holy Trinity Church, Dartmouth with Canon W.M. IVANY, William Scott – infant son of Christopher and Dianne (Lovett) Ivany, 41 Albro Lake Road, Dartmouth, died in the Children’s Hospital Friday.  The body is at the Mattatall Funeral Home, Dartmouth.  Burial will be in Mount Hermon Cemetery today at 2 pm. MORRISEY (Ivany), Charlotte Mildred “Dee – 76. Dartmouth.  It is with deep sadness that our family announces the loss of our beloved mother and grandmother, Charlotte “Dee” Morrisey, who passed away peacefully at home on August 19, 2006, leaving our loving arms to be held by family who have gone before her.  Mom was born in Halifax and raised in North End Dartmouth, which she always considered home.  She was the daughter of the late Mathias and Maude Ivany.  Mom’s first and foremost priority was her family, whether her own or extended, it was truly the centre of her life.  Mom will be fondly remembered and always loved by her daughters, Linda (Greg) Boudreau, Mount Uniacke; Leanne (Buster) Boudreau-Morrisey, Dartmouth; sons, Danny (Donna) Morrisey, Dartmouth; Ralph (Barb) Morrisey, Dartmouth; Robin (Gail) Morrisey, Fall River; Steven (Tara) Morrisey, Lawrencetown; grandchildren, Karla, Lisa, Dwayne, Nicole, Jeannette, Christa, Tara, Tracy, Tammy, Adam, Robyn, Billy, Jesse, Brandon, and Dakota; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Bill (Audrey) Ivany, Enfield; brother, Vic (Juanita) Ivany, Dartmouth; many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Morrisey; daughter, Penny Farrell; grandsons, Scott Boudreau and Phillip Morrisey; brother, Bob Ivany; sisters, Evelyn Edwards, Agnes Ivany, Mary Ivany, and France McBeth.  Heartfelt thanks to the Dialysis Unit, Dr. West, the nursing staff of 6B, and to the truly special angels of the Palliative Care Team and the VON nurses.  Visitation will take place 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today and Tuesday in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth.  A celebration of her life will be held in Christ Church, 61 Dundas St., Dartmouth, on Wednesday, August 23, at 11 a.m., Archdeacon Paul Smith officiating.  Reception afterwards in the funeral home.  Interment at a later date in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens.  Flowers welcome.  On-line condolences may be sent by visiting:  www.atlanticfuneralhomes.com (Source: Chronicle-Herald, dated Mon, August 21, 2005)
