The  purpose of this web site is to gather data and provide descendants and relatives of Ira Hurt of Franklin County, Virginia with all the information available about this family - both past and present.  As new information is received, it will be included in this site for your review.  

A Work In Progress

This is "your" Hurt website and is designed to "grow as we go" depending upon your contributions and research.  It is our hope that acquainting ourselves with our Hurt relatives will help develop a family bond that will endure through the generations to come.   Contributions should be emailed as an attachment or may be sent by mail on a floppy disk; we cannot retype large volumes of printed matter.

We would like to include pictures of the immediate Ira Hurt family and descendants as space allows.  Please send pictures as email attachments in jpeg or gif format.  We will scan and return any pictures sent by mail.
