My GreatGrandFather James Quin was born in Gobnascale, Convoy, Donegal in 1866, he died in Derry in 1903; his parents were William and Mary Houston (daughter of James). There other children were: Anne; Daniel; William; John; Treasa; Hugh; and Joseph. William died between 1911 and 1915 in Moneen, Ballindrait, his Father was Daniel who died in Callan, Drumkeen in 1871. The family were Scutchers of Flax who worked in the many Mills along the Deele River, which flowed into the Foyle.
