Christiansen Family
Quick Overview: Horsbüll Line || Quick Overview: Emmelsbüll Line || Documentation || Links
Introduction
The mothers of both Martin August Bahnsen and his wife Magalena Maria Sönnichsen were named Maria Christiansen, but were not related, even though both lines originated in Denmark. This is yet another example of just how common many patronymic surnames were.
Since one family lived in Horsbüll and the other in Emmelsbüll, I have used the name of the parish to differentiate between the two lines.
