A notation in the records of Bradford Monthly Meeting, and dated 16 5m 1760, says, "Stephen Harlan complained of for marriage by a priest."

Also, "Record of Pennsylvania Marriages Prior to 1810" spells husband William's surname as Stroud. Deborah and Stephen were among the first couples married at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Philadelphia.

The LDS Ancestral File places John MILLER's birth in Yorkshire, England. It further shows ALL his children as born in Ireland, and that John died in Pennsylvania in 1714. John's youngest child was born in 1713, therefore the family must have come to North America sometime in 1713 or 1714. A check of passage records ought to be done. He said the first ancestor to come to U.S.A. spelled his name D-O-R-N-E, which became Dornay, Dorney, Torney and Turney.
