On 20 February 1666 HANNAH married Philip Welch (Jr.) in Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts. HANNAH and Philip (Jr.) had at least eight children:

  1. Philip (III) (b. 27 December 1668)
  2. John (b. 27 November 1670)
  3. DAVID (b. 27 August 1672)

1673/1674: LIFE IN MASSACHUSETTS

On 4 March 1673/1674 HANNAH and Philip (Jr.) were living in Topsfield, Massachusetts.

KING PHILIP’S WAR

During this period of King Philip’s War it was necessary to gather men throughout the colonies and Philip (Jr.) was among them.

Early in 1676 HANNAH and family moved from Topsfield to Marblehead.

By 29 April 1679 HANNAH and family returned to Topsfiled. It is said that the town fathers of Marblehead forbade Philip (Jr.) to reside in their town because he had no money.
