On November 14, 1816, Isaac N. Welch with his brother, Frederick C. Welch, received a deed of land in Delaware, Ohio. At a Court held in Delaware County, February 15, 1826, Nancy Welch, for herself as a widow and for Effa Welch and Nancy Welch, as minors, brought suit against Frederick Welch for the partition of certain lands; said land was patented to John Rathbun, and by him deeded to James Glover, who on September 3, 1808, deeded the land to John Welch, and John Welch on November 14, 1816, deeded the same to Frederick C. Welch and Isaac N. Welch, and said Isaac N. Welch had deceased leaving the petitioner, Nancy Welch, and Effa and Nancy his heirs. The Court decreed that F. C. Welch should have one moiety and the petitioners the other moiety, the widow to have her thirds.
