Deposition by Thomas Gilbert of Taunton, New England, late of London, and now living in Fenchurch Street, London, barber aged 46, who was a passenger in the Boston Merchant, Mr. William CRISPIN, which sailed from London for Potomack in 1656 but was wrecked off Ireland. At the request of certain gentlemen taken at Preston as rebels that they may be transported, the King has graciously granted that John Dalzyel, brother of the Earl of Darnworth, may be treated kindly as an inhabitant of North Carolina.
