The Young family was from Scotland.  William and Jesse Linton Young lived in the Boarders – in a small area called Mertoun in the county of Berwick.  We find records of two of their children in the Australian records.

  I have a number of the records from Australia. For those that I do not have the records, a reference to the record number    is given with the person.   I have tried my best to be accurate in presenting these numbers, but I can not be held accountable for errors. Vital records for Victoria, Australia can be ordered by mail or on   line.   Go to: http://www.justice.vic.gov.au/ and you will find information on  ordering. Also at this site are order blanks that can be printed for order-

ing by mail.  Also you will find information about the records. Be patient as it takes awhile for this page to format.

 

The Australians have only a four digit zip code. As all blanks must be filled out on the order form, enter part of your zip code. Under  address enter your complete address including zip code, state, and  country.  I received records ordered on-line in less than two weeks.        Ordering by mail took me several months.
