RESEARCH & AHNENTAFEL

I'm researching multiple lines of the family as road blocks have popped up continuously.  This keeps me busy.  Many of my family divorced and remarried and I enjoy including step-families and branches off of them.  It's interesting to see how many people are connected to one family. (Please don't hesitate to contact me if you're looking for a FUNSTIN relative as I am also hoping to get in touch with disconnected family - and a nephew who was born about 1998/1999.)

Ernest Butcher of Port Burwell officiated.    At 4.30 as the sweet strains of Lohengrin's wedding march peeled forth from the piano played by Mrs. Ray Baxter, the bride entered the room on the arm of her father who gave her away and took her place 'neath a large wedding bell in front of a very pretty arch of evergreen, fern and ribbon streamers.  She was charmingly gowned in old rose taffeta trimmed with blue velvet bows and carried a bouquet of American Beauty roses and maiden hair fern.  White shoes, gloves and customary head dress completed her attire.  Mrs. Stuart Kinsey, sister of the groom was the matron of honour and was neatly dressed in blue flowered sheer with white accessories.  Mr. Ray Baxter, brother of the bride ably supported the groom.  During the signing of the register Ray sang the Marriage hymn by Rev. Tuttiett.     After congratulations the guests repaired to the dining room to enjoy a lovely wedding dinner prepared by Mrs. Terry of St. Thomas assisted by the Misses Violet Pressey and Dorothy Rainsford, friends of the bride.  The birde's table was centred with a three storey wedding cake which was made by the bride's grandmother, Mrs. W. H. Baxter who is 78 years old.  The tables were decorated with candles and flowers in pink and white was the color scheme throughout.  After the toasts were proposed by Rev. Butcher the evening was spent in jollity.  The presents were numerous and beautiful.  The gifts to the pianist and matron of honor were initialed compacts and to the groomsman was a gold tie clip and chain.     In the early part of the evening Mr. and Mrs. Whaley left 'mid showers of confetti and best wishes for a wedding tour to Windsor and the state of Michigan.  The bride wore an ensemble of rust velour crepe with brown accessories and carried an Earotweed aeropack the gift of the groom.     Guests were present from Detroit, St. Thomas, Brownsville, Aylmer, Pt.
