96 yrs. old who married one of Rev. Mahlon
Bewley's great granddaughters.
There are 27 graves with native sandstone
markers and no names. The graves are
covered with rock pens. Cemetery is
in the woods, hard to get to. From junction
of Hwy. 7 & 27 in Dover, go NE on 27
for 5 miles to locked gate on left. Go
through this gate for about 3/4 mile to second
gate (metal). Go through this gate
and across the creek bottoms for another
3/4 mile to old Pine Hill Road. Turn left
on this road for about a mile up across Pine
Hill.

Bewley Cemetery - Old
Ben Bewley Cemetery on Pine Hill. There are nine
graves left in this cemetery. No
markers, no names. Names were verified by
Mrs. Alvin Cobb, Dover, Arkansas. From
the Junction of Hwy. 7 & 27 in Dover,
go NE on 27 for .7 mile to Pine Hill Road.
Turn left on Pine Hill Road and go 2.6
miles to Smoketree Road. Turn left
& go .7 mile to shale road with metal gate.
Turn left through gate & go .2 miles
to barn. Turn right beside barn & follow dim
road for .2 mile. Fenced & clean.
Owner Kathy Reese found the cemetery while
cleaning out for a fence. She cleaned
off the cemetery & built a metal fence around
it. Appears to be at least 3 adults
and 4 children buried here.
