p. 171 - Entry No. 311- dated 3 July 1824 surveyed for Jeremiah Newby, 50 acres on the waters of the Barren Fork of Collins River, SW corner of a 40 acre tract that said Newby bought of Garland Harter, south of Thomas Hopkins' Northeast corner of a 40 acre survey, crossing the Stage Road. Surveyed 20 November 1825. Hardin Pierce and John Pierce. J.B. Perkins, DS.

In consideration of Military service performed by Reubin Pearce to the State of North Carolina, Warrant No. 178, dated 19 Dec 1808 and entered 25 Feb 1811 by No. 5948 there is granted by the State of Tennessee to Thomas Hammons, assignee of the heirs of said Reubin Pearce, 50 acres, a part of said Warrant lying in Warren County in the 1st District on the east fork of the Three Forks of Stones River...south of the house where John Farley lived...including the house where Martin Harpole lived. Registered 26 Aug 1813.
p. 441. State of TN, No. 4593. In consideration of Military service performed by Reuben Pierce to the State of North Carolina Warrant No. 178, dated 19 Dec 1808, and entered on 5 Nov 1810 by No. 5431 there is granted by the State of Tennessee to William Johnstone assignee of the heirs of Reuben Pierce, 54 acres, a part of said warrant... on waters of Dry Fork of Smith's Fork. ...John Sellar's line...the cliff of a large mountain. Including the improvements whereon Matthew Melton now lives. Signed in Nashville on 28 Feb 1813 by Wilie Blount, Governor. 20 Apr 1814.
p. 442. State of TN, No. 4594. In consideration of Military service performed by Reuben Pierce to the State of North Carolina Warrant No. 178, dated 19 Dec 1808 and entered 5 Nov 1810 by No. 5432 there is granted by the State of Tennessee to William Johnstone assignee of the heirs of Reuben Pierce, 10 acres on the Dry Fork of Smith's Fork...north of said Johnstone's Mill, including Johnstone's dwelling house and mill. Signed at Nashville on 28 Feb 1813 by Wilie Blount, Governor. Registered 5 jan 1814.

Huddleston, Cooksville, TN, Putnam County....This Indenture made and entered into this fifth day of August in the Year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nineteen between Thomas Ingram heirs and legal representative of William Ingram, Decd. of the County of Hawkins and State of Tennessee ... and Charley Huddleston and John C. Huddleston of the county of White and State aforesaid of the other part, witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of two thousand dollars current money to him the said Thomas Ingram ... in hand paid by the said Charles Huddleston and John C. Huddleston ... Doth Grant bargain sell aline and confirm unto them the said Charles Huddleston and John C. Huddleston, their heirs and assigns forever two certain tracts and parcel of land containing in all three hundred and forty acres ... bounded as follows Towit: Grant No. 13252 Beginning at two small hickory the South West corner to Welsey W. Pearces occupant survey running South and bounded forty poles to a stake thence East one hundred and sixty poles to a small white oak and water white oak on the South side of a ridge ... In Testimony whereof be the said Thomas Ingram by his attorney in fact William Mitchell hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written... registered 18 Oct 1819.
