OBITUARY
Miss Phyllis
Deane Rice departed this life at the tender age of 13 years on March 31,
1957, from a hospital at Chillicothe, Ohio, where she had been taken following
an automobile accident. Her sudden and untimely death is mitigated by the
fact that she was converted to Jesus Christ at the age of 8 years and was
baptized in the First Baptist Church, Paintsville, Ky. At the time
of her death she was a member of the Baptist Church at Waverly, Ohio. Left
behind to mourn her home going are the parents, Alva and Erma Rice, Waverly,
Ohio, 3 sisters: Mrs. Alice Conley, Paintsville, Ky., Kay and Betty
Lou Rice, Waverly, Ohio, the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Millard
Caudill, and a number of other relatives. Phyllis often used her young
voice here on earth to sing praises to the Lord Jesus Christ and now that
she has joined the great throng in Heaven, we are sure she sings His praises
all the sweeter. PAINTSVILLE HERALD WEDNESDAY APRIL 17, 1957
