This is Darnetta Bennett Owens, great great aunt of Shoshone Peguese-Elmardi. According to Social Security records, she was born 9 Sep 1880 and according to her death certificate she died 7 Oct 1973 in Morven, Anson County, North Carolina. She was the daughter of Bill and Linda Bennett, and the wife of Ishia Owens. She and her siblings were some of the last remnant family of Native American ancestry in Anson County.
