The man on the left is James Edmund "Tom" Caudle, born on 2/21/1921 and died on 6/19/1978, son of Calvin Lee Caudle (son of James Carson Caudle). James Carson Caudle (1900-1966) may be behind the couple with the baby (Tom and Emma Allen, and son "Sheriff" Tommy Allen).
Tom and his Dad farmed and during the 1960s, owned one of the general stores in downtown Peachland. Tom was named after his maternal grandfather, James Edmund "Tug" Caudle. Tom never married.
