Two photographs of William Wilson "Bill" Taylor of Anson County, North Carolina.
He was born Aug 25, 1840 and died Feb 14, 1917. His parents were William "Billy" Taylor and Sarah Elizabeth (McLendon) Taylor. He married on Feb 16, 1871 to Sophronia Ellen Beachum (May 19, 1848-Sep 7, 1935). He served in Company K, 43rd Infantry North Carolina Regiment during the Civil War. He was wounded in 1864, never recovered and suffered from the chest wound until his death. They had ten children, all born in the same house located on Kiker Rd. in Burnsville township. He and his wife are buried at Hopewell Methodist Church Cemetery.
