BAUCOM MOORE |
I have a beautiful old post card photo of a child named "Margaret Augusta Baucom" age 6 months. This, along with several other
lovely old photos, was found in my mother-in-law's picture box. My MIL,
now deceased, was born Margaret Moore
in Marshville, NC in 1917. This is the only photo which has been
identified with a name. After an attempt at research, I have found
no connection to the Baucom family; however a family cousin tells me
that there is a connection. So today I began again, finding on www.findagrave.com, a listing
for a Margaret A Baucom, 1915-1918. I think this child's name and dates
might be appropriate for the photo. [She was the daughter of Marshall
Ray Baucom and wife Julian Ammons, and grandson of Edmond D. Baucom and
Margaret Little. Of Anson Co/Richmond Co, NC] I did however find a possible connection (of sorts).
Margaret Little Baucom was a sister to Sarah Ellen Little Holmes (wife of John Holmes). Margaret Moore's mother,
Emma Coker, was raised by her uncle, John Holmes and his wife, S. Ellen
Holmes. Anyway, I'm trying to identify this child (way too many Margarets here). Help and/or suggestions would be
much appreciated. |
