CRAIG-BELLEW-MCWHORTER FAMILY CEMETERY

Only two marked graves for: Stephen Bellew and George McWhorter.
Reportedly buried here also, although there are no inscribed markers for them, are:
Phillip Starnes (1822–1860) and his wife Virginia 'Jinsey’ Plyler (1817–1860),
per the book "Of Them That Left A Name Behind - A History of the Starnes Family"
by H. Gerald Starnes and Herman Starnes.

Most of the graves are marked with simple stone markers with no inscriptions visible

Some Starnes MAY be buried there, but there is no proof since most of the stones are not inscribed.
The DAR honored Revolutionary War veterans Stephen Billue/Bellew and George McWhorter with headstones.

George McWhorter, Jr., Revolutionary Soldier, Kershaw's S.C. Regt. (Born Feb 8, 1762-Died Feb 4, 1841)
