Mary Minerva Griffin was the daughter of Lewis & Esther Griffin, and was born July 14, 1843 in Union Co., NC and died Aug. 8, 1938 in Waxhaw, Union Co., N.C. She later married Charles Kiker on Apr 9, 1893 and is buried at Price Chapel Baptist Church, Waxhaw.
James Alexander Griffin was the son of Hiram Griffin & Mary Minerva Griffin. He was born Dec. 5, 1871 in Goose Creek, Union Co. & died Jan. 3, 1932 in Monroe. He was raised by his paternal grandparents (Wesley & Caroline Spears Griffin), in the Goose Creek area. He married Odessa Peach (daughter of Daniel Monroe Peach & Manerva Williams).
