[1] -E. H. Haney  – Company F, 2nd NC Junior Reserves/Company I, 37th NC Infantry. Private.

Born about 1847 in Anson County, NC and was by occupation a farmer when he enlisted on May 30, 1864 at Camp Holmes for the war. At time of enlistment, he was 17 years, 8 months, 23 days old. He was 6’ tall, had dark complexion, dark hair, blue eyes. His name appears on a Receipt Roll for clothing dated July 28, 1864. Company Muster Roll dated Aug. 31, 1864 stated he was present. Company Muster Roll dated Aug. 31 to Oct. 31, 1864 stated that he was transferred to General Service Sept. 19, 1864 [Co. I, 37th NC Infantry]. [Listed on roster of the 37th NC Infantry as Elijah H. Haney.]

Haney, Norfleet B. – Company I, 53rd NC Infantry. Private. Resided in Union County where he enlisted Feb. 2, 1863. Captured near Petersburg, Va., Apr. 2, 1865 and confined at Point Lookout, Md., Apr. 4, 1865. Released June 27, 1865 after taking the Oath of Allegiance.
