Will pay to bearer three 50/100  Jany 1st, 1863. Coupon No. 7. Three Dollars & Fifty Cents semi annual interest on bond No. 332 at Monroe, N.C.

I don't know much about old currency such as this, but I believe that city, town, and county notes served as emergency money at various times, especially during the Civil War.

I would appreciate someone with more knowledge of the subject to help me with the history!
