-HAYS, S., (d. Jul 19, 1863) – SHELTON HAYS enlisted as a Private on June 5, 1861 in Union County, NC at the age of 23. Wounded on July 1, 1863 at Gettysburg, PA. Died of wounds on 19 July 1863 in Winchester, VA.

 

35TH NC INFANTRY, COMPANY F

-NARKETT, Jno., (d. Nov 1, 1862) – JOHN A. NORKETT enlisted as a Private on December 4, 1861 in Raleigh, NC. Died on November 1, 1862 in Winchester, VA.

 

43RD NC INFANTRY, COMPANY B

-STEEL, E., (d.Sept 1, 1864) – EZEKIEL STEELE enlisted as a Private on November 1, 1862 in Camp Holmes, NC. Wounded on or about July 1, 1863 at Gettysburg, PA. Returned to duty on or about November 30, 1863. Absent on July 30, 1864. Died on  September 1, 1864 in Winchester, VA

 

48TH NC INFANTRY, COMPANY A

-HEGGETT/HEAGET, Josiah, (d.Oct 3, 1862), [possibly HARGETT ?] No further information found.

 

-BRUNE, J., (d.Oct. 21, 1862), [Possibly the JASON BROOM that enlisted as a Private on March 8, 1862 in Union County, NC at the age of 20. Died of disease on October 15, 1862 in Winchester, VA]

 

48TH NC INFANTRY, COMPANY F

-McNEALY, M., (d.Oct 12, 1862) – MURCHISON MCNEELY enlisted as a Private on March 25, 1862 in Union County, NC at the age of 22. Died of disease on October 11, 1862 in Winchester, VA.

 

-STAMES (STAMS), P. E., (no date) – [Could this be STARNES?]. No further information found.

 

-GRIFFIN, W. S., (d.Oct 16, 1862) – WILLIAM T. GRIFFIN enlisted as a Private on May 6, 1862 in Union County, NC at the age of 25. Died of disease on  October 16, 1862 in Winchester, VA
