"Death of Mr. Cavenaugh
Sam Cavenaugh, of Wallace, thirty-eight years old, died at the James Walker
Memorial hospital Tuesday night, following a very serious illness and
operation. He was a son of Elijah Cavenaugh, a prominent citizen of Wallace.
The remains will be taken to Wallace this morning for interment."

Millard Q. Howard of the Woodington section died Monday. The funeral was held at Pink Hill Tuesday. He was 41 years of age and survived by a family."

"Funeral Mr. Cavanaugh.
The funeral of David Wright Cavanaugh, prominent farmer of the Grifton section, was held in that vicinity Monday. Mr. Cavanaugh was 75 years of age. His death Sunday resulted from paralysis. He is survived by a widow and several children. Rev. LeRoy Harris, a Free Will Baptist minister of this city, conducted the funeral and burial services, which were largely attendde [sic]."

Leslie Aldridged. 29 Jul 1927
"Death of Leslie Aldridge.
Leslie Aldridge, 17, son of Andrew Aldridge, a farmer, died at his father's home in Neuse Township at 1 o'clock today after several weeks' illness from typhoid fever and heart trouble. He is survived by his father and several sisters. The funeral will be held at the Old Ford graveyard, near Sandy Bottom Church, tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. A Missionary Baptist minister will officiate."

"Funeral of Mr. Barbee.
The funeral of John G. Barbee was held at a point near Richlands Sunday afternoon. Mr. Barbee, a well-known farmer of the Richlands section, died in a hospital here at the weekend. He was 44 years of age. A widow and several children survive him."
