"William David Cavenaugh
William David Cavenaugh, age 77, of Route 3, Wallace, died Friday afternoon, Feb. 16, at his residence after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, from the Northeast Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Walter Pierce, Rev. Clyde Shelton and Rev. Ray Brown. Burial will follow in the Cavenaugh Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruth Williams Cavenaugh; two daughters: Mrs. Ann Fields of Wallace, and Mrs. Faye Wheeler of Jacksonville, Fla., two sisters: Mrs. Mary Lou White and Mrs. Margaret Teachey, both of Wallace; one brother, James E. Cavenaugh, of Cayce, S.C.; one granddaughter and four grandsons.
A native of Duplin County, Mr. Cavenaugh was the son of the late William Henry and Della Bradshaw Cavenaugh. He was a retired carpenter and poultry farmer, a member of and a deacon in the Northeast Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church and was a lifelong resident of the Northeast Community.
Casketbearers will be Willie Wheeler, Deane Wheeler, David Wheeler, Greg Fields, Robert Matthews and James Franklin Teachey. Honorary bearers will be Raymond English, Earl Cavenaugh, Mack Raynor, Billy Cavenaugh, Otha Carter, and Charles Brown.
The family received at the Padgett Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and will be at their residence, Route 3, Wallace, other times.
The body will remain at the funeral home until 1 p.m. Sunday when it will be taken to the church to lie in state one hour prior the service.

Arthur Clayton Albertson, age 84, of Route 1, Harrells, died Tuesday morning, March 6, at Pen-Du Rest Home, Route 2, Wallace, after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 8, at 2:00 p.m. from the Padgett Funeral Chapel in Wallace, conducted by the Rev. Donald Coley. Burial will follow in Rockfish Memorial Cemetery.
He is survived by three brothers, Brew [sic] Albertson, Milton Albertson, and Tommy Albertson, all of Harrells ; two nephews, Harry Albertson of Harrells and Jimmy Albertson of Willard.
Born in Lyman, Mr. Albertson was the son of the late Owen Quincey and Lula Cottle Albertson. He was a retired farmer, a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army, and had been a resident of the Harrells area for many years.
Casketbearers will be Edward C. Bowen, Henry Mathis, Jimmy Moore, Mack Johnson, Jack Bowen, and Bob Bowen.
The family received at the funeral home from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and will be at the residence of Drew Albertson, Route 1, Harrells other times.

Mr. Sidney Aaron Cavanaugh, 5140 Carolina Beach Road, Wilmington, N.C., died Tuesday, May 1, 1990, at New Hanover Memorial Hospital.
Born in Richland [sic], N.C., on June 19, 1914, he was the son of the late Jim and Lucinda Foster Cavanaugh.
Mr. Cavanaugh served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 329.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Jerry M. Cavanaugh of the home; three sons, Jerroul Wade Cavanaugh of Rinco, Ga., Sidney Aaron Cavanaugh Jr. of Dallas, Texas, and James C. Matthews of Wilmington; three daughters, Mrs. Mollene Smith, Mrs. Jackie Ludlum and Mrs. Sharon Long, all of Wilmington; three brothers, James Cavanaugh of New Bern, N.C., Nick Cavanaugh of Jacksonville, N.C., and Elmer Cavanaugh of California; two sisters, Mrs. Erma Lewis of Alabama and Mrs. Nancy Woods of Florida; thirteen grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 4, 1990, at 3 p.m. in Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel by the Rev. Roland Dauphinais.
Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening 7 until 8 p.m. at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel and at other times at the residence of Mrs. Mollene Smith, 141 Stoney Brook Road, Ogden.

Burgaw - Mrs. Alma R. Cavaenaugh [sic], 92, of 205 N. Dudley Street, Burgaw, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 1990, at Pender Memorial Hospital.
Born April 28, 1898, in Pender County, Mrs. Cavenaugh was the daughter of the late William E. and Ida DeBose Rivenbark and was the wife of the late John W. Cavenaugh.
Surviving are four sons: Felton Cavenaugh of Taylor, Mich., John H. Cavenaugh of Burgaw, Lawrence Cavenaugh of Rocky Point and Larry Cavenaugh of Wilmington; three daughters: Mrs. Emily Postl of Warren, Mich., Mrs. Ruth Harris and Mrs. Sadie Jordan, both of Burgaw; one sister, Mrs. Lacy R. Blanton of Burgaw; 16 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home with the Rev. Hal Bilbo officiating.
Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park, Watha.

Mildred Anderson Bullard, 84, of 109 Meadow St., died Friday at her residence.
A native of Pender, N.C., she had lived in Waynesville for the past 19 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Waynesville.
Surviving are her husband, W. Arthur Bullard; a son, Wade Arthur Bullard Jr. of Sturgis, Mich.; two daughters, Josie B. Henson of Clyde and Nancy B. Denney of Waynesville; eight grandchildren, several step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services were at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Garrett Funeral Home. The Revs. George Thompson and Hugh P. Garner officiated. Burial was in Green Hill Cemetery.
The grandsons served as pallbearers.
The family received friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. At other times, the family was at the residence.

A native of Duplin County, Mr. Dixon was the son of the late Johnny and Norma Wallace Dixon. He was the retired owner and operator of Dixon Tire and Gas in Wallace and he was a member of the Transfiguration Catholic Church of Wallace.

A native of Duplin County, Mrs. Brown was the daughter of the late Richard Morton and Myrtie Batts Futrell. She was pre-deceased by her first husband, Frank Wood; a sister, Mrs. Sarah Catherine Boykin; and two brothers, Richard Ray Futrell and Allen Sherman Futrell. She was a member of the Rose Hill Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church where she had served as musician for approximately 40 years and was honored lst year for 50 plus years for her Christian Music Ministry.

A native of Duplin County, Mrs. Sanderson was the daughter of the late John Andrew and Mary Catherine Lanier Wood and was the widow of Henry Lawrence Sanderson Sr. She was a member of the Home Demonstration Club, a longtime correspondent for the Wallace Enterprise, a former member of Masonboro Baptist Church and was a member of Dobson Chapel Baptist Church.

He was the retired senior vice president of financial operations for Jefferson Standard Life Insurance Co., a former director of the Jefferson-Pilot Corp., a member of the Financial Section of the American Life Convention, and a charter member of the Life Officers Investment Seminar. He was also an Army veteran of World War II.

Pink Hill -- Leslie Carl Carter, 79, of 106 Roosevelt Drive, Jacksonville died Friday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church and a 19-year employee of the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department at Camp Lejeune. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday from Pink Hill Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. James L. Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and other times at the home of Carroll and Christine Stanley, Old Pink Hill Road, Deep Run."

Marion Bradshaw of 5349 Ridgewood Heights Drive, Wilmington, N.C., died Tuesday, December 14, 1993 at his residence.
He was born in Wallace, N.C., on December 31, 1912, the son of the later Abner Faison and Beulah Cavenaugh Bradshaw.
Mr. Bradshaw was a member of Southside Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon and a member of the Hall Memorial Sunday School Class. He was also a member of St. John's Lodge #1 AF&AM. Mr. Bradshaw was the owner-operator of a barber shop in Wilmington for more than 43 years.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Register Bradshaw of the home; his daughters, Mrs. Jean B. Sullivan and husband, Frank, of Leland, N.C., and Mrs. Catherine B. House and husband, Mike, of Wilmington, N.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Paul of Wallace, N.C., and Mrs. Emily Casteen of Wilmington, N.C.; three grandchildren, Deborah Johnston, Abby Willetts and Aaron Heffner; and four great-grandchildren, Lisa Mintz, Jennifer Willetts, Crystal Johnston and Jeffrey Johnston.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 17, 1993, in Andrews Mortuary, Market Street Chapel, by the Rev. Ron Bryan, the Rev. Vincent Wall and the Rev. James Pollard.
Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Ray Chestnutt, Jack Willie, Randy Burton, Richard Paul, Glen Cavenaugh and Ottis Cavenaugh. Honorary pallbearers will be Leon Sullivan, Don Fink and the members of the Hall Memorial Sunday School Class.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. in Andrews Mortuary, Market Street Chapel.

Charles Daniel Morse Jr., of 201 South 58th Street, Wilmington, N.C., died Thursday, December 23, 1993 at his residence.
He was born on October 13, 1927 in Wilmington, N.C., the son of the late Charles Daniel and Elsie Myrtle Savage Morse.
Surviving are his son, Charles Daniel Morse III of Adelphi, Maryland; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ruth H. Robbins of Wilmington, N.C.; and two nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 27, 1993 in Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel by Rev. Susan Moore.

"Mr. Percy Carroll Teachey
Rose Hill - Mr. Percy Carroll Teachey, age 88, of Route 1, Rose Hill, died Sunday morning, Dec. 26, at the Brian Center in Wallace.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 29, from the Rose Hill United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Jon Strother and Rev. Leonard Doucette. Burial will follow in Rockfish Memorial Cemetery.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Richard (Helen) Englert of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., Mrs. Robert (Carolyn) Fish of Fredericksburg, Va., Mrs. Wayne (Linda) Williams of Chesapeake, Va.; two sons, Rev. Wilbur C. Teachey and wife, Sylvia, of Wilmington and James C. Teachey and wife, Betty, of Greensboro; one sister, Mrs. Lottie Rivenbark of Wallace; one brother, Fred Teachey of Wallace; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wives, Mrs. Viola Mae Cavenaugh Teachey and Mrs. Eunice Clifton Teachey.
A native of Duplin County, Mr. Teachey was the son of the late Nelson and Sallie Cottle Teachey. He was a retired farmer and was a member of Rose Hill United Methodist Church.
Casketbearers will be: J.E. Rackley, Courtney Cooper, Larry Teachey, Tom Hawkins, Burke Petty and Jody Rivenbark.
The family will receive at the Padgett Funeral Home from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and will be at Mr. Teachey's residence, Route 1, Rose Hill, other times.
The body will remain at the funeral home until 9:15 a.m. Wednesday when it will be taken to the church to lie in state one hour prior to the service.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Roxie Pierce Sholar; three daughters, Mrs. Norman (Doris) English and Mrs. Jack (Kathleen) Jones, both of Wallace and Mrs. Craven (Eloise) Register of Clinton; three sons, Lawton Sholar and wife, Christene, Bobby Sholar and wife, Peggy, and Richard Sholar and wife, Nancy, all of Wallace; one sister, Mrs. John E. (Hazel) Lanier of Wallace; one brother, Elbert Sholar and wife, Clara Belle, of Wallace; 19 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
