Huntington Family in the Pacific NorthwestThe lure of the west and drew four Huntington brothers and two cousins in the middle of the 19th century. They all settled in Cowlitz County, Washington and had large families. As a result, the family has flourished in the northwest. This site is the result of an attempt to identify those descendants. For the ancestry of the Huntingtons, visit the Huntington Family Association website. This page is split into seven groups. First are the descendants of James, the grandfather of the six Huntingtons who came to the northwest. These are followed by the six grandchildren: Chandler Huntington, Harry Darby Huntington, James Huntington, Benjamin Huntington, Jacob Huntington, and my ancestor, William Huntington.
