Alice Orilla Tuthill was
born the 7th of May, 1848, in Randolph, McLean Co., Illinois. She married
William Gaylord YOUNG. The Young family moved to Lake Co., California
in the mid-1800's, after William was injured in the Civil War. Their family
is known for the 200+ acre farm they operated outside of Kelseyville,
and the introduction of Pear Farming to Lake Co.
Much of this information was provided by Paul Brown, a Tuthill Family
researcher, who is currently updating Alva Tuthill's book on the Tuthill
family. Most of the notes & source information on this lineage is
also from Paul, unless otherwise noted
