Bolser Family
The family grouping in the Keith Cemetery shows Henry Alexander BOLSER, Jr., who
died in 1861. He is buried here along with his second wife, Barbara and two of his sons
Henry Alexander BOLSER, III and Peter BOLSER.

He married Anna Barbara Unknown. She was born about 1677 and died
March 12, 1737 in Klingen, Germany. Benedict married #2 Melchoir Muhler;
there were no children of this union. Benedict and Anna Barbara had two boys
and we will follow the son Hans Peter Baltzell.
in Frederick Co., MD. He married #1 Anna Barbara Fanner on January 16, 1724/25
in Klingen, Germany. She was the daughter of: Matthias Fenner and Anna Barbara
Unk. Anna Barbara Fanner was born January 6, 1711/12 and died November 27,
1743/44 in Thaleischweiler, Germany. Peter and Anna Barbara had 5 children. We
will follow their son Henry Bolser. Peter married #2 Anna Maria Dorni on
May 12, 1744 in Nunschweiler, Germany. She was the daughter of Theodor Peter
Dorni. Anna Maria was born March 7, 1711/12 and died June 7, 1790 in Frederick Co.,
MD. Peter and Anna Maria had 5 children.
Continuing from the Bolser Home Page. "Peter Balsam" arrived on the ship,
St. Andrew, into the Port of Philadelphia on August 18, 1750 with his second wife
Anna Maria and maybe 8 children. (3 of the older children were married)
Hamilton Co., OH. Henry married Mary Margaretha Alexander on November 2, 1760
at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Frederick Co., MD. She was the daughter
of Heinrich Alexander and Margaretha Unknown. Mary was born about 1741 and
died in Sycamore Twp., Hamilton Co., OH. Both Henry and Mary are buried on the
burial plot on the old Bolser homestead, which was 4 miles east of Reading, OH. They
had 10 children and we will follow their second child Henry Alexander Bolser, Sr.

in Hamilton Co., OH by 1795 coming in with the Bell, Waldsmith and Kern Families."
unknown date. Henry married Sarah Hornsell. Her birth and death dates are unknown.
There seems to be no information available regarding where they are buried. The old
homestead has been destroyed and no records were kept when the area was industrialized
and everything including trees were bulldozed off. Henry and Sarah had 4 children.
in Jennings Co., IN. Henry married #1 Ann Johnson Bell. She was born September 25, 1781 in Batavia, Clermont Co., OH and died March 23, 1833 in Montgomery, Hamilton
Co., OH. She was buried March 25, 1833 in Buckingham Cemetery in Montgomery,
Hamilton Co., OH. Henry and Ann had 10 children. They are listed separately below.

Henry married #2 Barbara Waldsmith Landon on March 19, 1834. She was born June 4, 1791 probably in Lancaster Co., PA and died August 16, 1863 in Jennings Co., IN. There were no children of this union. Barbara was the daughter of John "Christian"
Waldsmith and Catherina Elizabeth Bollender. The family arrived in OH from PA about 1796. His farm of 1100+ acres was used during the Civil War and was called Camp Dennison. Barbara was married #1 to William Landon and they had 5 Children. Catherine Landon, Wm. J. Landon, Elizabeth Landon, Rebecca Landon and Rachel Landon. Barbara and William divorced.

August 1, 1863 in IN. Henry married Evaline B. Thomas on January 1, 1840. She is the daughter of Joseph Thomas and Scynthia Owsley. Evaline was born
September 1, 1820 in KY and died April 3, 1913 in LeSeur, LeSeur Co., MN. They had
9 children.
Co., IN and died August 31, 1935 in Fargo, Cass Co., ND. This Henry married #1 Mary
Platte with dates unknown for birth and death. Henry married #2 Geneva Artisma Randall
on September 26, 1878 in LeSeur, LeSeur Co., MN. She was born April 25, 1862 in
Sharon, LeSeur Co., MN and died October 29, 1906 in Frazee, Becker Co., MN. Both Henry and Geneva are buried in Frazee, Becker Co., MN. They had 13 children and none of
their children were named Henry Alexander Bolser.

6A. Peter BOLSER buried Keith Cemetery. Peter is the son of Henry Alexander BOLSER, Jr
#5 and brother of #6 – Henry "Alexander" Bolser, III.
Continuing from the Bolser Home Page. Peter was born on February 3, 1822 and died
February 24, 1870. He married Harriet Graham on March 18, 1841 in Scott Co., IN. She
was born about 1824 in IN and died unknown. The 1850 census in Jennings Twp.,
Scott Co., IN gives Peter – 27 born OH, Harriett – 26, James H. – 7, Mahlon – 6,
Margaret Ann – 4, and William – 6 months. The 1860 census adds 3 other children. All
children appear to have been born in Scott Co., IN. Children were: James H. born about
1841 or 1843; Mahlon born about 1844; Margaret born about 1846; and William born
about 1850; Jasper born about 1852; Sarah Emma born June 12, 1856 in Alpha,
Scott Co., IN; and Laura born about 1857.

Sarah Emma Bolser was born June 12, 1856 in Alpha, Scott Co., IN and died
February 23, 1939 in Scott Co., IN. She married William Peacock on September 5, 1894 in Scott Co., IN. He is actually William Peacock, III and is the son of William Peacock, II and
Catherine Trulock. William was born October 26, 1851 and died June 2, 1923. They are both buried at Wesley Chapel Cemetary –East, Austin, Scott Co., IN.
William Peacock, III’s sister Mary Jane Peacock married Lewis Cass Young. Lewis
is the son of Christian Young and Maria Byfield. Christian is buried at the Coffee Creek
Cemetary, Jennings Co., IN and is the grand nephew of Barbara Waldsmith Landon Bolser 2nd wife of Henry Alexander Bolser, Jr. (#5). Barbara is the step-mother of Henry "Alexander" Bolser, III and Peter Bolser and grandmother of their children. Christian is
the son of Abner Young and Jane Waldsmith.
Two of Christian’s sisters married uncles of William Peacock, III and Mary Jane – Margaret Waldsmith Young married John Peacock and Ethelina Waldsmith Young married Francis "Frank" Peacock. Frank was killed while serving in the Civil War.
