Lone Bell Cemetery

SEC 15 TWP 16 R23

The Lone Bell town site was located in section 14, across the road east of the cemetery in section 15.

The Lone Bell school location was located in section 2.

The cemetery was established on Henry Inselman's homestead. Henry arrived in Day Co. in 1899.

The date of the first burial is unknown. There are many graves that are unmarked in this cemetery.

In 1910 the names of Jessie Bonser, James A. Dooley, Walter Burrell, Nora Burrell, Henry Inselman were land owners of section 15. Heinrich Jancke, Clark McNeal, Samuel Walck and Jacob Bonser were listed in section 14.

Original records were kept by Mrs. Juanita Inselman. These were reportedly lost in a house fire.

This cemetery was obtained by the Oklahoma Wildlife Commission in a land transaction in the 1990'S. It will continue to be accessible to the public by public road.
