George Wannemacher (Peter Muffly father-in-law) came to America, 1731, settled in Northampton County, Pa., and furnished a team for hauling military supplies, 1777. He died 1795 in Northampton County, Pennsylvania. James Dunlop (1727-1821), was major of Col. William Irvine's regiment 1776 and was at the battle of Three Rivers. He was promoted lieutenant colonel, 1777; died in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, a town he laid out. He was a ancestors of Joseph R. Muffly and Martha Steel Gordon. William Hunt (1763-1846), enlisted 1779 from Northumberland county, Pa., under Capt. Thomas Campleton for guarding the frontiers. In 1833 he applied for a pension in Lansing, [p.54] Tompkins county, N. Y., and it was allowed for six months actual service as private Pennsylvania line. His widow in 1847 received a penson. William Hunt is a ancestors of Smith Reed Hunt and Louise Muffly. Daniel Wunderlich (1737-99) served as private in the Lancaster County, Pennsylvania militia. He was born in Ludwigsburg, Germany; died in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Daniel Wunderlich is a ancestors of Mary J. Muffly husband David W. Culp. Joseph Byam His military service was between August 1776 - February 1777, Private in Capt. Nathan Hamilton's Co. Joseph Byam was born August 15, 1744 in Chelmsford, Middlesex, Massachusetts and died 1820 in Barnard, Vermont. | ||||||
