| James Stover McCune 1876 - 1948 James Stover McCune was the eighth child born to Robert & Elizabeth Forbes McCune He was born December 26, 1876 in St. Albans Township, West Point Hancock, County, Illinois, and died June 15, 1948 in Blessing Hospital Quincy, Adams County, He married Emma Lutz October 10, 1906 in Chicago, Illinois. She was born February 27, 1885 in Quincy, Illinois, and died July 29, 1975 in St. Louis, Missouri. James purchase 90 acres located in section 9 in St. Albans Township, next to his father farm (now own by Alvin McCune), James brother. They had five children, four sons and one daughter and all the children attended the Pleasant Hill School. James was a retired farmer and had lived in Quincy, Illinois for 10 years before his death in 1948. She was born February 27, 1885 in Quincy, Adams County, Illinois, and died July 29, 1975 in St. Louis, Missouri. She married James Stover McCune October 10, 1906 in Chicago, Illinois. He was born December 26, 1876 in West Point Hancock, County, Illinois, and died June 15, 1948 in Blessing Hospital - Quincy, Adams County, Illinois. After her husband died she lived with her son Lynn untill about 1958. Then she moved to St. Louis, Missouri and lived with another son, Robert to help him raise his two children. She stayed at his home until her death in 1975. She is buried along side her husband James in Greenmount Cemetery - Quincy, Illinois. Emma Lutz |
