Gerald Lynn McCune 1942
Gerald Lynn was the only child born to Lynn Hermann McCune and Emma Ida Sophie Kretzer.
Gerald was born December 31, 1942 in Quincy, Adams County, Illinois.
The home that he grew up in was in his mother family since 1927. It was located in a section of town known as "Cow town". The address was 812 Jackson. The grade school that I attended was behind my house the name of the school was Berrian. My mother worked as a cook at the school.
I can remember early in grade school that my best friend and myself both sucked our fingers. He sucked his thumb and I sucked my first finger. Well if are teacher caught us sucking are fingers in class she would hold up two of her fingers and that would mean to stop sucking.
Down the street from my house was a neighborhood dump where my friends and I would play. I remember as a small child that my father took a wheelbarrow full of junk to the dump and I followed him pulling my little red wagon. As my father was dumping the junk I was filling my wagon up with junk
Gerald attended the Quincy School System and graduated in 1961 and the following fall he attended David Ranken Trade School.
He graduated from David Ranken in 1962.
He married Sandra Sue Howlett December 23, 1962 at Granview Baptist Church - Quincy, Adams County, Illinois by the Rev. Paul Keeler.
She was born January 20, 1945 in Quincy, Adams County, Illinois.
I started working for Motorola in September of 1963 and worked at the Motorola Quincy plant until it closed down in 1976.
Our family moved To Seguin Texas in March Of 1976 to continue working for Motorola.
In March 22, 2001 I retired after 371/2 years with Motorola.

Sandra Sue was the sixth child born to Charles Leonard Howlett and Mary Louise Muffly.
Sue was born January 20, 1945 in Quincy, Adams County, Illinois.
Sue attended the Quincy School System and Gem City Business School.
She married Gerald Lynn McCune December 23, 1962 at Granview Baptist Church - Quincy, Adams County, Illinois by the Rev. Paul Keeler.
He was born December 31, 1942 in Quincy, Adams County, Illinois.

Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Howlett of 1307 South Fifteenth are announcing the engagement and approaching marriage of the daughter,
Miss Sandra Sue Howlett, to Gerald Lynn McCune, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn McCune of 812 Jackson.
Miss Howlett and Mr. McCune will be married Sunday, Dec. 23 in Grandview Baptist church.
Miss Howlett is a senior at Senior Hish school and is employed by Dame and Hurdle Jewelers. Mr. McCune is a Senior High School graduate and is in his senior year at the David Rankin Trade school in St. Louis.

After her marriage Sue worked for a Wholesale/Retail Plumbing Supplies Co. and a Volkswagen Dealership.
After the family moved To Seguin Texas in March Of 1976. Sue work at Motorola for five years.
