Lynn Herman McCune 1907 - 1981
Lynn Herman McCune was the first child born to James Stover and Emma Lutz McCune.
Lynn was born December 26, 1907 in Hancock County, West Point, Illinois - on the farm, and died November 06, 1981 in Seguin, Texas.
His parents farm was located in section 9 in St. Albans Township and consisted of 90 acres.
Lynn attended the Pleasant Hill School and graduated from West Point High School in 1926.
He married Emma Ida Sophie Kretzer August 08, 1940 in Lee County, Iowa. She was born November 05, 1904 in Mendon Township, Adams County, Illinois, and died October 08, 1975 in Quincy, Illinois.
He worked as a lineman for Southwestern Bell in the late 1920's and 30's. He worked all over central Illinois and Iowa for the Bell Company.
He was a retired machinist for the Electric Wheel Company in Quincy, Illinois.
After his wife, Emma, passed away he lived in Seguin, Texas with his son Gerald until the time of his death. (Cause of death Emphysema)
Lynn is buried in Greenmount Cemetery - Quincy, Illinois.

Emma was the fifth child born to William August Kretzer and Anna Caroline Maria Montag.
She was born November 05, 1904 in Mendon Township, Adams County, Illinois, and died October 08, 1975 in Quincy, Adams County, Illinois.
She married Lynn Herman McCune August 08, 1940 in Lee County, Iowa.
He was born December 26, 1907 On the farm - Near West Point, Hancock County, Illinois, and died November 06, 1981 in Seguin, Texas.
In the 1930's Emma worked for the International Shoe Company in Quincy, Illinois.
After her child Jerry started attendinf grade school "Berrian", she was a cook there.
Emma had Pseudoxanthoma elasticum, is an inherited disorder that affects selected connective tissue in some parts of the body.
It effect her eyes, she was legally blind.
She is buried in Greenmount Cemetery - Quincy, Illinois.
